In the summer-season, nearly every village has a festival or an activity in which often the entire population of a village partcipates.
An example at Civitella del Lago is La Mostra Concorso Nazionale Ovo Pinto, The festival of the painted egg; there is even a museum, Museo dell'Ovo Pinto.
In the beginning of August, there is the Sagra della Focaccia close to Civitella del Lago.
